Amino Plus contains many essential amino acids and minerals and is used to support muscle development and performance in sport horses. In foals and young horses, the even build-up of bone structure and musculature can be supported during the growth phase. Older horses and horses in convalescence can also be supported in their maintenance and development by feeding Stiefel Amino Plus. The whole body and especially the muscles consist of proteins. Proteins in turn are composed of amino acids. The horse can partly produce these itself in the intestine. Some of them have to be ingested with food. In order to build up proteins, all amino acids (about 20 in total) must be sufficiently present in the body. If there is a deficiency, protein synthesis is restricted and deficiencies occur, for example in muscle building and performance. Stiefel Amino Plus contains lysine HCL, DL-methionine, sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, L-threonine, tryptophan. L-tryptophan, for example, is an essential amino acid. The effect of L-tryptophan is based on the fact that it is converted into serotonin in the metabolism. It is one of the few amino acids that can easily cross the blood-brain barrier. The effect is described as mood-lifting and calming. An undersupply of L-tryptophan leads to overexcitement, imbalance and a lack of readiness to conduct, especially in stressful situations…. Please observe the current doping guidelines (ADMR) of the FN.
Feeding advice:
Horses (600kg bodyweight): 25g/day.
Small horses: 12g/day
(1 measuring spoon = approx. 25g)
In times of increased stress, the dosage can be doubled. This supplementary feed may only be fed up to 50g/day because of the higher zinc content compared to complete feeds. Store feed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use up quickly after opening. Keep away from small children. This feed does not require labelling according to GMO.
