Oats have been used for horse feed for a long time. Oats serve as a fast energy supplier for athletic horses. The starch contained in the recipe is easier to digest than wheat, barley or corn.
Pavo’s golden oats are cleaned and dehusked as oat husks can be irritating to the digestive tract. Additionally, dehusked oats are easier to digest.
Recommended use:
- Feed 1-2 kg a day (max. 1 kg per meal)
- Oats have a low calcium/phosphorus ratio. You can feed your horses up to 1 kg of oats a day. If 2 kg or more oats are fed during the day, the horse must be supplemented with calcium.
- For pure oatmeal, the addition of a mineral feed is recommended
