The new natural formula of the Cavalor® Dry Feet is based on prebiotics and probiotics that protect the hoof and frog by creating protective microflora that actively eliminate pathogens. This product is used by veterinarians, farriers, grooms and riders worldwide on the soft tissues of the hooves.

Thrush is a common bacterial infection on the frog and is more likely to occur in horses with deep furrows in their feet. Even if your horse’s environment is kept very clean, they can still be exposed to pathogens, especially if their is manure in their stall or if they are out in a wet, muddy paddock.

Wet, damp places make perfect habitats for anaerobic bacteria. Anaerobic bacteria can survive in the hoof and cause damage. The damaged tissue can even reach the sensitive structures in the hoof under the frog and cause lameness.

The new formula of the Cavalor ® Dry Feet is 100% natural and contains a combination of good bacteria (probiotics) and inulin (prebiotics). The inulin stimulates the activity of the probiotics contained in the product as well as the good microorganisms already present on the hoof. Together they settle on the entire surface of the hoof and actively eliminate the bad bacteria that cause thrush.

Application note:
If your horse’s frog or hooves are soft, apply the product twice a day to the clean hoof. You can also apply the product twice a week as a preventive measure.
