A healthy, nutritional basic feed is essential for horses and supports healthy digestion.

The extra large PRE ALPIN meadow cobs are made using over 60 different grasses and herbs from the Bavarian Alpine foothills. The cobs have a low protein content, but a high crude fibre and energy content.

Feeding recommendation:

As a basic feed substitute: 1.2 to 1.5 kg per 100 kg body weight
To upgrade your horse’s basic feed: 1 kg PRE ALPIN meadow cobs replaces 1 kg of hay.
Feed slowly or soak 1 kg with 1.5 – 3 litres of water.
As a concentrate substitute: 1.2 kg PRE ALPIN meadow cobs replaces approx. 1 kg grain
For hasty eaters, old horses or horses with dental problems, moistening or soaking the food is generally recommended.
